Rajput    It does seem prejudice to be judged on your past medical history.
And I do mean past, in the past.  Since you are a non carrier could these statistics be somehow removed from your profile.  Being Hepatitis Free you
can not endanger others as perhaps those still carrying an active virus.  It's truly unfair how employment works some how, but hoping there will remain the possibility of expungement.

Hi I can understand  your frustration.
Have you thought about getting a note from your doctor stating that you do not have HCV you have been exposed but do not have

I can understand completely.  I had surgery last year and found later that my records say I have HCV, I have been cured for over 2 years.
It was very upsetting to me.

In June when I had blood work my doctor wrote HCV as the justification for the blood work.  If he had been testing for a viral load I would not have cared but it was just a CBC
I am beginning to think I can't get away from it.
Good luck, Dee

May I ask you why your qualifications for a job are always dismissed because of a non reactive viral test?
Is it mandatory that bloodwork be done prior to employment?
Perhaps your in a country where employers go thru rigorous procedures prior to hiring.  I'm just wondering if you volunteer your medical history while interviewing for a job.  It's seems unfair and unethical that this situation can still exist in this day and age.

Fortunately you are Hepatitis Free.  You can not spread a virus to others when you are not an active carrier.  Is there anyway in the future that upon applying for a job that you can bring documentation stating your negative status if you are asked to submit?
I'm sorry that you are being discriminated against, and hope that others will give you a fair shake.

You can't reduce the antibody test.  You do not have hepatitis C or your PCR report would not be undetected (negative). Once you have been exposed to hepatitis C you will always have a positive Elisa test. You have nothing to worry about. You either have a false positive antibody or you were exposed and your body fought the virus off. Feel lucky, not sad.
