as rivil pointed out this would better be asked of the HBV forum

This may be of interest :
Sometimes, if someone has been recently exposed to the hepatitis B virus, a doctor may recommend the vaccine and/or a shot of immune globulin containing antibodies against the virus to try to prevent the person from coming down with the disease. For this reason, it's especially important to see a doctor quickly after any possible exposure to the virus.

ok understood but if I had any chance of hep b will a vaccine help a few weeks after
I think if you had "protected sex", then there is no risk. Perhaps the other Posters misread this question, and thought you wrote "unproteced sex" ?
Thanks for letting it stand

I take it your talking about me, Not sure what you mean by smart remark though? Isn't wearing a condom suggested for no risk???

Hi everyone -
Let's leave the smart remarks out of it. Jcuad asked a sincere question, and needs sincere answers.
We are a support and info site, as you all know, and we can't do that well if people are afraid to ask questions for fear of ridicule.

You need to ask that question on the Hep. B forum.
Yes I understand about risk but does taking vaccine 2 weeks after incident help if by any chance i got hep b
will getting vaccine for hep b be of any help 2 weeks after incident
Since you wrapped your bacon I see no risk, I guess thats why they suggest using condoms...... But maybe not
A definite yes for hep b even with a condom on
If she as hep B a definite yes,if she as hep C there is a low risk,if she's HIV positive there is a low risk, herpes a definite yes, STD's is roll of the dice...dude get tested for everything and don't sit on public washroom toilet seats you might get pregnant....or maybe like nygirl7 said keep it in your pants and you won't get the ants.
HCV RNA then you will know one way or the other.
None if she was HCV Neg. however whenever there is blood involved with an HCV Postitive person there is risk..
Get tested......
