hi ! i have some news; last wednesday i went to the hospital, here in milan and i signed a sort of contract to enter in this trial by Gilead! the doctor told me that we have to wait 2 or 3 weeks and then we can start! i?m really excited but i'm also scared...i read about adverse events and i'm a bit scared ...could i handle it? i don't know, but i'm sure i must try !!!bye
Good luck, getting into the Trial! I also have a friend who may be in the same Study, here in San Francisco, next month. I have heard it yeilds excellent results. If you cant take Interferon, then it is the way to go~
thank you for you answer, you're very kind. in these days i'm waiting for a doctor to call me because i tried to enter a trial with sofosbuvir and ribavirin and the doctor told me he sent my medical history to gilead. it would be like winning the firt prize of a lottery!!!i let you know as soon as i get an answer! bye

Hi Cassy,
Welcome to the forum. Except for the clinical trials as far as I know there is not yet any treatment available for HCV without interferon.
For genotype 1, I believe it will be a few years before anything is available.
By the way your English is fine.
Good luck to you
