I have read much of your message board, I begin treatment of the triple drugs on 04-27-2012. Can anyone tell me how quickly I will be feeling under the weather. I will be taking the shot on Friday afternoon.? Just need to know what to expect.

I did my shots on thursday night and did not feel a thing until saturday afternoon to monday morning. I learned to just lay low over the week ends, read, movies, ( I watched every DVD on the Presidents!, learned a lot). I warmed my shot by rolling it btw palms. Never had to do a pain reliever, but doctor said Aleve was ok and I would do that when I went to work.

I will take my second injection tomorrow night.
The next day I had a headache and didn't feel too bad.
Now I'm itching all over and have a rash.
The lab lady said most people she sees take a little longer to get the rash.
Well, it's a bir much to say the least

I've decided I'm going to try to pamper myself too.
Most of the fear I had about the treatment left after the first injection.
I'm just dealing with the situation.
I'm trying to drink more water now. See if I can wash some of the residual
med out of my body.

Hi, I was in your same boat two weeks ago, scared to death! I got my shot at dr. Office wen morn, ran errands All day, felt a little chill and low fever around 5:00 pm. Had a nap and some Advil and that was it. Second shot, no sx a little tired for a couple hours about 3 days after, but I think that's bc I wasn't drinking enough water. Try not to phyc yourself out too much.

I am Geno 1 B. Tonight is my 3rd shot. I take it at bedtime with a 500mg. Tylenol as prescribed by my doctor. The worst part was my fear of how badly I would feel from the shot. I felt fine, a little achy, a little chilled. Took another Tylenol 5 hours later. The Tylenol for me completely removed ANY symptom. That week end looking back now, I was tired. I think that I had myself exhausted from the fear of what would happen. Nothing bad happened, as I felt surprisingly good. I have decided to FULLY go with the treatment process. My job is to take the very best care of me. To take the medications exactly as prescribed, to feed myself the most nutritious foods, to exercise at least 20 to 30 minutes a day, drink my gallon or more of water, continue to live my life and keep moving. Rest when needed. And of course, to active in this wonderful support group of amazing people. Wishing you the very best journey to the  finish line.

I do my shot on Thursday. I feel the worst on Sat.  I too take my shot at bedtime with tylenol.

Everyone responds differently, so no one can tell you for sure.  One recommendation I would make, however, would be to take your shot before bed.   Pop an extra strength Tylenol (clear with your doctor first) do your shot and go to bed.  That way you'll be asleep for the brunt of the interferon sfx.  My husband hasn't felt the actual shot once.  Of course 2 days later, that's another story...
