OMG - I can't freaking believe it - yep SVR

Hi all - I know it has been a long time since I've been on line but I truly believed the beast had returned - I was feeling pretty bad and it had been 5 months since I had my 2 mo post PCR which was clear and I knew I could not treat again due to the awful side effects and I just didn't want to know - but I finally gave in and tested and just found out I'm SVR. I had only treated for 13 weeks (am a 2b) and most of it was at very reduced doses - so it's pretty much a miracle - so for all of you out there that may have to cut it short and have little hope - read my journal - it’s been a hell of a ride but thanks to the awesome friends on this board - their persistence, determination, knowledge, patience, dedication and love - I have my life back!

HEY HERES TO THE KICK BUTT TEAM -how many are SVR? (Kittyface. Deb, Ladylori, Charm, Floridamouse, Susan, Wassup, Trish, Meicmommy, SF baygirl, Fuzzy etc) - Also special thanks to my buds Forseegood, Jmjm, Andiamo, pkin, goofy, nygirl, meiki, comeagain, and all the gang - love ya man :-)

Just have to say ...Hi PK :) , as your another one that beat tremendous odds and these drugs just took you down fast!

As many of us get done with tx, back to normal, every day life, not here as much.....we all do need to come in and post great news like this for the many coming in daily, new to this, worried, scared, knowing so little .....to give them hope that this will be them posting one day :)

Hugs to you all!!

OH Hoooooney !!!!! (wish you could HEAR me saying this:)........I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy to see this!!!  I know you were so worried, and I'd written that I too reduced, and reduced again thru tx (but went to 23) and I just KNEW you had it! Many 2b-ers seem to be reaching SVR in short tx's, a blessing. (and no, other 2b-ers please don't think you should also, reduction and stopping early, at this point in 'proven'  tx, is only to be done if there is serious problems)

I am just dancing for you girl! You have so many other things to deal with, this one is GONE, OVER, BEHIND YOU! I'm elated for you Miki, just elated!!

I so hope you can get back to riding, living, doing all the things you are so good at and love so much.

Love, hugs, HAPPY SVR .........LL

How awesome!
As a genotype 2 with 16 weeks of tx and SVR also.... I can relate to feeling slightly incredulous, estatic, and relieved.
Congratulations!

So sweet that so many buds are SVR... It is amazing how long the recovery from tx can be. But ya know once you really know your clear...it's such a dream come true that all those silly sides are not so bad anymore...I'm so freekin happy for us and so excited that those of you just starting this journey know that miracles do happen how glorious it is to be free.

I can't take the smile off my face.  I had read your story a while back and often wondered how you were doing.  And you're doing just GREAT :-).    What a trial, and what an outcome - miracles abound between the lines of this thread,  and with PKinCA chiming in  with another SVR that statistically was on shakey ground.   YES!!!  this is soooooo good!

That is wonderful!  Sorry for the delay in posting -- I have been sailing in some remote places with no internet -- thank goodness!  I am now in Trellis Bay, Tortola waiting for the flight back to the states.

More later,
Eric

How sweet it is to hear from you all - wow what an amazing journey it has been for all of us and I am so proud of you all and so excited about the great news with our clan.

I just have to tell you all new and old (well not old - old but you know) That without this site I would of never even started tx or if I had I would of been off tx by the 3rd week - YOU GUYS are why I have my life back - no matter what the sides are they are glorious compared to the alternatives - I have never felt so flippin free and I love it and I Love you -

Life throws us some interesting battles - but this one is not managed single handed.....no matter what our days and threads brought forth..... love, support concern, sarcasm, frustration or even rage...it all leads to the ultimate goal - thanks again for getting me there....I'll be riding like the wind (if it ever stops freekin raining in So Cal :-)

Mega hugs - Mikkimoe

I am absolutely *thrilled* to hear you are SVR.  I worried so much about you while you were on treatment.  This is just terrific news and I'm SO happy that you NEVER have to go through that again.  I'm so proud of you.  Here's to your hubby too...for taking such good care of you through all that.  I wish you the loveliest of SVR days ahead!!!  Well-earned and much deserved.
