Geterdone is done! 48 weeks completed

Well, I never thought that the 48th standard shot would ever get here but here it is. I still have a week of riba to do but It just seems like yesterday this all became a blurr then to realize almost year has passed since the first shot yet there is still more to do, but the 48 marker is the sweetest of all. I have received my last shipment of meds for the 5 week taper down period and when all said and done it will be 54 weeks to final completion. Thank You All! for your help and support through out this journey and answering my many questions about treatment and the meds we are taking. Life is like a box of chocolates, ya just never know what you’re going to get and by looking back at my past post, there have been a verity of flavors. It has been an experience that I hope I will not have to repeat for we all give it our best shot and hope for the best.

    What a relief, it was a piece of cake eh!!! I just got my final 48 week results and it was ,<50. The biggin will be in early july.
Waitin on thats a killer. Are you going to mount the dragons head for a wall display?

Congrats to you !!! .. Its a great feeling to be done for sure.      You will start to feel so much better before you know it.      Not sure about the taper down as I was done at 48 wks of INF then 1 more week of Riba..   Sorry you have that much more to go.. But you passed the hurdle..  and now for the finish line....

Bet you like your new 'handle'. I got goose bumps, reading post after post congratulating you. As a passenger, still standing at the station,(waiting to get on the train), I see the light at the end of the tunnel.  Both through your eyes and those of all your tremendous supporters. As I wait to start my own journey, I feel like the little kid at the end of the line where we all had to go and get a POLIO SHOT. Back in the days, before they put the vaccine on a sugar cube and you got to eat it. Back in the days when there WAS polio, (other than in third world countries). Jmjm Thanks! For the partial, yeah it’s been just a tad confusing but this whole journey has been to a certain extent but I’m positive the 48 weeks are in the bag, and would like to thank for your tremendous inputs along the way. I know the taper down step is controversial and not main stream but after discussing here with everyone it is IMO a very logical last step to an otherwise eventful journey and one that I’m glad is coming to an end.

Congratulations on reaching you Milestone. Like I said in a previous post “I have nothing but awe for you that are doing 48-72 weeks.” I am only doing 24 and some time has concerns but, because of people like you, I will persevere.

yeah it’s been a long haul but a piece of cake compared to others. I just tried to stay positive keep my mind busy and just kept moving forward.

Hi! that is strange just checked posts before posting myself and BHAM! there you were. I will get the pcr next Friday and then go from there but will most likely be 3 months.
