Geterdone is done! 48 weeks completed

Well, I never thought that the 48th standard shot would ever get here but here it is. I still have a week of riba to do but It just seems like yesterday this all became a blurr then to realize almost year has passed since the first shot yet there is still more to do, but the 48 marker is the sweetest of all. I have received my last shipment of meds for the 5 week taper down period and when all said and done it will be 54 weeks to final completion. Thank You All! for your help and support through out this journey and answering my many questions about treatment and the meds we are taking. Life is like a box of chocolates, ya just never know what you’re going to get and by looking back at my past post, there have been a verity of flavors. It has been an experience that I hope I will not have to repeat for we all give it our best shot and hope for the best.

Wow, that did go fast. I can't believe you are finished!!! Thats great! What kind of tests will you be getting? 4,8,12? I know some like to just wait for the 12. I hate to wait and my doc likes to do the 4 for the first one.

I hope and pray that you are SVR!!! You have been an asset to the forum with all the support and information you have given!

Good luck!

Congrats geter! GOOD fight!

Read you 12 week summations of tx, cept for extreme anger, trotts (me)......yep, you pegged it well!  What an awakening that 1st 10-12 weeks is as the drugs take over, you SEE how it's going to be for you!

Confused that you took Iron? Thought we weren't supposed to?

ON TO SVR! And you've helped a lot 'back' here also!

Good news day today :}

Congratulations.  48 weeks is an achievement to be proud of, what's this about the 5 week taper down period?
Hope you feel "normal" again real soon, if there is such a feeling out there!
Hugs,
Bug

Thanks! charm, the main course was incredible but there is more riba still to go and then we’ll be singing in the sunshine and laugh everyday...

Thanks! Myown, just like a blink of an eye, not really but it seems that way now. I will be going for the eot pcr in the next week and then go from there. Good Luck to you also in this around.

LLBB, (BB?) (Biker Babe) Thanks! yeah the first 12 weeks was the worst but did get more manageable after that. The Iron supps was a proactive move on the doc’s part because every thing was crashing fast in the first few weeks.

Hi Ladybug Thanks, good to see you posting again, the taper down has been discussed early on and more resent here. Rather than stopping abruptly at the eot I am weaning myself off the drugs as with a few others, there are pro’s and con’s on the subject but it is the best route for me and I’ll post it in my journal some time in the future. Normal? What is that, I’ve gotten kind of use to this state, it seems pretty normal to me lol.

Thanks! jool57 and hope your tx is going well also, your about 10 weeks behind me so hang in there, are you still working, if you are congrats to you.

I-horn Thanks and have enjoyed your post along the way. Hey! at three months and pcr looking good! I know your one happy camper, good luck and stay SVR.

Thanks! Teufelhunden, mission accomplished, Sir. Almost ready to move forward just sewing up some loose ends.

Thanks All

jasper

Congratulations on reaching you Milestone. Like I said in a previous post “I have nothing but awe for you that are doing 48-72 weeks.” I am only doing 24 and some time has concerns but, because of people like you, I will persevere.

Jasper, Hey make up your mind -- first you say you're "done" and then you say you received more meds to taper down. LOL. Anyway, how about partial congratulations with the rest of the congrads reserved after your taper caper.

All the best,

Thanks! and Congrats to you too. Also checked out your blog, very cool.

CockSparrow Thanks! Yeah, just like waiting for the first PCR, lol.

Jmjm Thanks! For the partial, yeah it’s been just a tad confusing but this whole journey has been to a certain extent but I’m positive the 48 weeks are in the bag, and would like to thank for your tremendous inputs along the way. I know the taper down step is controversial and not main stream but after discussing here with everyone it is IMO a very logical last step to an otherwise eventful journey and one that I’m glad is coming to an end.
