Post 12 Week PCR Test Results

I went for my 12 week post PCR Heptimax   HCV RNA testing.

The results showed <5 IU/mL - <0.70 Log IU/mL

which I take to be UND !!

I am a geno 2b, female, age 56; treated for 24 weeks with Pegasys and 800 mg Riba

Thanks to JmJm on this forum, I showed my doctor an article on follow up Week 12 viral count testing useful in predicting SVR and 100% accurate in patients without cirrhosis (which I do not have).

I am on Cloud 9 right at this moment.   Thank you JmJm and thank you all on this forum who have given such wonderful words of encouragement and hope.   Because of this forum, I have learned so much, and continue to be educated.   Thank YOU, Thank YOU.

thank you all

frijole - Early on, I had a miscommunication with my doctor, and then no doctor.  Had to find another, and from week 4 thru 8 was without - still able to get meds though. Kind of scary, felt like I was the treating doc.

At end of week 3 I had VL test and went from 1.8 mil to 135, which was over a 4 Log drop. I was told that if I had waited to end of week 4, most likely it would have been UND.   When I got new doctor at week 8, had VL test and it was UND.  Did not have another until end of 24 week and that was UND.
