Afraid it it herpes

Two weeks ago I visited a strip club and fingered the dancer, and then touched my penis.  I am concerned that I may have acquired herpes.  I know that people have differing opinions regarding the ability to transmit herpes this way, but I am really scared.  I felt a stinging on my penis and look and I saw what appeared to be a red spot, but it doesn't hurt at all, and hasn't hurt.  The red spot appers to isolated, but I noticed what appeard to be a similar red spot on another location.  I don't know if I am just being overly worried or what.  I did rub the spots and they didn't hurt, and it felt like a little bump, and I couldn't make it pop after trying to sqeeze it. Any feedback would be helpful.

I just wanted to give you an update.  I looked and saw what I thought were blisters on my anus.  I freak out and went to the doctor immediately.  I explained to him my situation and the circumstances.  After examination he informed me I didn't have any blisters, simply skin tags from a histroy of hemrroids (which I have a history of).  He advised me he had seen many cases of herpes, and I didn't exhibit any of the symptoms.  He discussed with me that it was probably my guilt, just as you had suggested.  He stated my exsposure was nothing to worry about.  I appreaciate you providing the service you do.  It is nice to know there are people out there who give intellegent advise and information.  I am a health care professional, but apparently we loose all objectivity when it comes to ourselves.  Once again, THANKS!

you would have obvious lesions within a day or two of those symptoms started.

there is no reason for any std testing at all from this.

follow up with your provider for your symptoms to find out if you have something causing them or just a genitally focused anxiety going on.

Thanks for your reply. How long does the burning/stinging last if it were herpes related?  As it doesn't really burn or sting anymore, just a little uncomfortable. I believe the red mark on my penis I was referring to has always been there. Just overly concerned. When should I get blood test done?

if you have symptoms, you should be seen and get them looked at.

if it likely you contracted anything from your encounter?  no it is not.

I now have a burning/stinging in my anus area, and there was never any contact near my anus.  I only had my pants unzipped.  I am really concerned and worried.  I am in a long-term relationship and concerned that I could transmit something to her.  I also had test done prior to this relationship hsv1 postive (i have a history of cold sores) and hsv2 negative (I had the Igg specifice test); this was done about 2 years ago.  Any feedback would be appreciated.
