Could it be herpes...

On 12/3 I had unprotected sex with a guy I had never met before. We both had been drinking and before we started having sex I asked him if he had anything.. He laughed and said no and in my drunk state of mind I was okay with that answer. We began having sex with a condom and then later took it off. He ate me out and then after I kissed him. I know how incredibly stupid I've been and my stomach has been in knots regretting it ever since.
I'm getting tested finally on Friday. My question is.. Lately I will have to swallow huge clumps of what looks like phlegm. The only thing is.. I got my tonsils and adnoids out on 12/22 and then had a hemorrhage 2 weeks ago so I had to go back in for another surgery. Could that be the cause of the "phlegm" or does it sound like herpes... As in the herpes sac? I haven't really noticed any obvious bumps in or around my mouth.
Clearly I'm extremely nervous and I can't take the waiting any longer.
Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hello again.. I have some new possible symptoms. I was kissing a guy last night and this morning when i woke up I had a small but raised bump on the inside of my lip. I also accidentally bit down on it and it hurt very bad.. Now it feels kin of ."deflated" in a way.
I have another strange area on the inside by my teeth in the gums. It looks almost as if a tooth is coming in but it's in an area that I shouldn't have any teeth growing in.
Any help is greatly appreciated..

as you were told previously in the std forum - this wasn't a risk for a std orally for you.

post t&a oral issues are common. thick phlegm isn't unusual and you are also probably doing a lot of open mouth breathing which doesn't help either.

you had unprotected sex. if you aren't aware of this partner's std status, you can follow up with proper std testing at the proper times - chlamydia and gonorrhea anytime after 1 week post encounter, syphilis after 6 week and herpes and hiv after 3 months.

Doubtful this is herepes going on.

Regardless the testing you are doing for herpes on Friday is not going to tell you if you got herpes from this event or not.  You need to work with your doctor on what is going on with you and have a proper work up.

You can get type specific herpes testing 3 months after the encounter.
