Could this be herpes?

I have been getting red spot/ulcers on the tip of my penis and foreskin for about a year, i have never had unprotected sex and have only had two sexual partners. The spots do not itch, hurt, smell or pop but they do seem to spread and stay present for around a week until fading. However, I have had cold sores since i was 5/6, is it possible that i may have passed the virus by touch from my mouth to penis when i was younger without knowing or is it possible that it could be something other than herpes?

Have you had a blood test done? With your history of oral HSV-1 (assuming what you have are actual cold sores and not something else, like canker sores) and your limited sexual history, herpes certainly seems unlikely, but nothing is impossible.

Have a type-specific IgG blood test, and have the bumps swabbed immediately the next time they appear.

Hi, having strong antibodies would really lower and any risk to passing it to another area and in general your symptoms dont at all appear herpes related. If your concerned, maybe have them swabbed next time to rule out herpes but have it done within 48 hours after appearing.
