Herpes Risk - Protected Vaginal

Had a sexual encounter 1 day ago which was fully protected and lasted a few minutes. A day later now, a 1cm spot on the rim of my penis head and just underneath the rim feels sore when touched, but no visible redness/sores/blisters. Just wondering what this could be and whether indicative of herpes?

Herpes symptoms don't appear for at least 2 days. This spot that is sensitive is likely just irritation.

While condoms don't offer 100% protection against herpes, they do offer significant protection against it.

If the soreness lingers, or any blisters/sores appear, see your doctor. If you get a sore or blister, see your doctor within 48 hours of it appearing to get it cultured.

Just to clarify - is not a 'spot' on the rim - meant to say a 1cm area size area
