Small red bump that gradually grew

Ok so like I am on border line panic mode and I can't get into a clinic yet.  So my question is simple, does anyone think this is herpes.  It started out as a small but noticeable bump on the right inner side of my "lip" on my vagina if you will.  Anyways within two days it had grown into a much larger thing but it was painful to the touch.  Trust me when I say I hovered a mirror and scoped things out.  I never saw any signs of pus or a blister except for the fact it was red.  There almost feels like there is something in there but again,no pus.  I've also had these things before only they appear to be almost bruise like instead of just red.  Either way they all were sore.  I've had no lesions. Whats the deal?  Is this herpes?  I am terrified of having to explain this to my current boyfriend and more importantly scared to live with a permanent STD.  HELP!

One painful bump that has grown in size does not sound like classic herpes. However, that being said, no one here can diagnose you. You say you've "had these things before", so did you get checked out then by your medical provider?

Don't waste your energy on being terrified. Go to a clinic or urgent care and get it checked out.
