Scared/Worried As Ever - Confused if folliculitis or Herpes

Really long story.

Basically me and my girlfriend of 2 years had unprotected anal sex. A week after my lymph nodes were swollen and my penis had an irritation/itchiness in it. So I went to the doctors who said it could be either irritation from over washing (as I did after we did it) or it could be some of the bacteria in her anal got inside my penis. So I did tests/check up they and diagnosed it an NSU as they didn't know what it was - and everything and the results came back all negative and I don't have any STD or STI.
Now about 2 weeks since all of that happened my lymph nodes were still raised and I began wondering why? Then I noticed this cluster of blisters around the top of my pubic hair region. So I did some research and was looking at folliculitis or herpes and i'm not sure as there have been mixed results. I slept with the heating off a day or two after as I get really hot and I woke up shivering and flu like on, and they said this one one of the symptoms of herpes so i'm ultra scared, I went to the doctors on Monday 14th and the nurse said it was "herpes" and gave the culture a swab and some meds said they'll get back to me with results - i'm confused as i've read that herpes usually appears at the tip of the penis and not in the pubic hair region - since they've given me the pills the culture has died down immensely and it doesnt tingle as much - also no puss ever came out, it didnt itch or hurt, it was just wear my boxer line sits so it was uncomfortable, as I hadn't showered for 3 days (don't ask why) and I had been really sweaty down there. (This is just extra info incase) - I've had ingrown hairs/jock itch before due to me not washing and leaving the same boxers on for a number of days. But as this time i've had these cold like symptoms and sore throat developing today, I am sooooo scared.

Can someone help?

Since being prescribed aciclovir on monday the swollen lymph node has gone down and lesion has dryed up, does this mean I had herpes?

They said results could take up to two weeks, i swear this has been the hardest week so far of my life, i cut a bit of the hairs over the lesions which have been scabbing since yesterday - and i don't even know what to make of it it's like one big scab

Yes she said it "looks like herpes" and then swabbed it. Since then i've been super worried.
Considering the fact that I was diagnosed with NSU two weeks prior and , with painful urination and tickly feeling in the inside of penis which is usually linked to herpes.

No it doesn't.  It's really hard ro say. Seems high up the groin are to have contracted hsv. That being said your Dr did the right thing by swabbing the lesions. How long did they say it would take for the results?

Hi, herpes can appear in the pubic area but most often is on the shaft not the tip and since outbreaks most often occur in the same spot i would rule out the pubic area as herpes.
