as long as you start your own forum and keep posting in the same spot (following the guidelines for the forum), it seems to me that users tend to get replies eventually! good luck!
everytime i post i never get a reply=(
you're probably right. I probably seem crazy, but I'm sure you've seen the psychological turmoil that can come from even thinking that one has herpes. I am 6 weeks, 6 days since the symptoms have started and i almost feel back to normal. i do have some discomfort in my anus though, not itching or pain, just discomfort. this doesn't sound like herpes, right? also, is it unlikely to have strange symptoms for almost 7 weeks to be caused by a herpes initial outbreak? I'm ready not move on, but the fact that i cannot pinpoint why i am feeling better is holding me back. could it be mental? I'm hoping to get blood tested 4 months past exposure for the last time and, if its negative, put this behind me.
again, thank you so much for your voluntary help and guidance. you are such a selfless, good person.
I haven't seen them so I have no idea what they are. no reason not to trust the professionals you saw yesterday though is there?
ended up going to 2 doctors yesterday. one in the morning who looked at the bump on my upper inner thigh and said it looked nothing like a bump. i asked her about mild case or something that looked like something else but was a bump and she didn't think that seemed to be the case. i then had some itching on my other thigh, about just outside the "box short region" (Because i had to wear longer soccer shorts to cover it) and noticed 5 bumps in an unstraight line and one below the line. the obgyn said it looked like bug bites. and they are in a line like bed bug bites. does this make sense? i know bug bites aren't your expertise, but any guidance would help. is there any possible i have brought bed bugs with me and they have been causing all this discomfort, even in the groin without bumps? (maybe this is ridiculous, but this discomfort started 6 weeks and 5 days ago after staying at a hotel for the first time in months and i don't recall any itching even the day before being there- but a hotel I've been to before and seems clean) maybe I'm grasping at straws here...
at this point, see your provider every time you have symptoms that concern you. it's a pain in the butt I know but sounds like you need the peace of mind of a medical professional !
also, after all that tingling i now have something that looks like a pimple on my upper left thigh...makes me worry all over again. also what else, literally anything, could be causing these symptoms if not herpes?
quick question, if herpes causes headaches, during what stage of an outbreak would the headaches come? its been 6 weeks and 2 days of feeling an array of possible symptoms/not quite feeling "normal"
I sincerely hope and pray you are right. Thank you for all your time, help and advice. What you do is truly appreciated by the entire community. I will post if I receive any revelations about my status.
why is that post disheartening? did you not read the parts where I said the posters symptoms aren't likely to be due to herpes? just because you have herpes, doesn't mean that everything that goes on is due to herpes.
really, don't convince yourself that you have to have herpes despite your negative testing.
got a call back from a nurse who didn't know about the tingly. i asked if she thought i should come in again, and she said the doctor would probably say the same thing. i now have a bump on my left inner upper thigh. now i just don't know what's herpes and what's the body's natural imperfections. i know it is unlikely, probably/logistically, that i got herpes, but it just takes one time and some bad luck to be in that unlucky percentage who does get it in my situations and who does test negative while I'm positive. also still experiencing discomfort. what else, literally anything, could be causing these symptoms if not herpes?
no, your jaw symptoms aren't herpes related.
the encounter in april is not one you have to be concerned about at all for herpes. not many folks test negative on the blood tests and really have herpes, it's really not a realistic concern especially when your symptoms aren't typical for herpes at all.
continue to follow up with your regular provider and your gyn both to try to figure out what all is going on.
also, before the symptoms last month, i had a jaw lock type feeling in my jaw. i am now experiencing this again. could this be related to herpes? i did give oral sex to (unprotected, stupidly) to the person with the questionable genital exposure. is this oral herpes acting up with genital herpes? i wish there was a way to get definitive answers to these questions.
is my test 8 weeks and 3 days from last possible exposure trustworthy? is it safe to say that if i do in fact have herpes, that its not from the only actual intercourse i had almost 7 months before the test?i have also read about people on this forum who test negative through blood work that are actually positive. could that be me? i called to speak to my doctor (OBGYN) today to speak about everything that's troubling mean but she was obviously busy. hopefully she gets back to me soon.
tingling only occurs in the area that is infected and prior to/during an ob. you won't have it this long and you won't have it on this many body parts if it's herpes.
continue to follow up with your regular provider to try to figure out what is going on.
also i've read on a lot of other posts about people with diagnosed HSV experiencing tingling, which frightens me even more
Thank you so much for taking the time to read that long description and give advice. If not for herpes, what else could be causing my symptoms? such as tingling in my butt, down my legs, sometimes in the groin, and every one in a while others places briefly, like my arm, side or face for about 4 days now.
you wouldn't have just itching without obvious lesions this long with herpes. really no reason for any more herpes testing at this point either.
should you find that your genital itching returns, be seen again for a proper work up.
it's highly unlikely you contracted herpes from your most recent intimate encounter too. you can contract herpes from direct skin on skin contact but it's not likely to happen plus it takes some real naked outer course, not a description of our genitals might've touched.
grace
probably unrelated, but around the time of tingling i also got two side-by-side bumps near my color bone, seeming to have a black dot int he middle. i just am writing so much because i want all information out there i can think of for the most informed opinions. thanks!
