Ok thank you heading to the drs tomorrow will follow up
The skin of the penis is very thin and delicate with nerve endings right near the surface. Compare this to your thigh where the skin is very thick with nerve endings much deeper.
You must get a swab immediately if sores are still present. A blood test now won't hurt but you'll probably need to follow up with a 12-16 week post exposure test.
5 weeks ago was the last time I slept with a girl and 5 weeks later have this outbreak. But wouldn't making herpes push into penis skin wouldn't it make it easy to push the virus through other body parts? Ex: touching herpes sore to fingers, thighs, etc??? I plan I trying to get a test done. Did not receive oral. Worse or the worse is on the side not close to top part but was covered by a condom
Be wary of a visual diagnosis. There are several things wrong here with a herpes diagnosis:
- symptoms bad enough to seek medical advice indicate a primary infection that would mostly occur 2-10 days after infection... not 5 weeks.
- the blisters almost always when present include the entry site... which as you suggest would probably not include the penis if protection was used.
Did you receive unprotected oral sex though?
For men, the soft skin of the penis is a valid entry site, not as good as membranes such as the vagina or lips. This is why men are less susceptible to the virus, but nevertheless it still happens.
Was a swab or blood test taken? Get these straightaway if not.
