Got herpes test results on my 22nd birthday

It was just a normal day and went to the doctor to get some blood work .  I got my blood work in two days.  My results came back  I was so excited to show my partner .  The doctor said everything seems to be fine .  There's nothing wrong with me.  I looked on my results in my paper hey please Symplex virus one resulting in 3.75 index range 0.9 and herpes simplex virus two resulting in 5.96 index range 0.9.  I immediately ran out of my car and ran back to the doctor .  I asked what is this you told me everything was alright  these numbers are high they're shooting for positive .  He replied no it's your immunity .   I looked at him and confusion . What does he mean does he mean my body is  used to this ?  Does definitely shows that someone I had sex with had the virus .  I couldn't sleep I couldn't eat I keep researching all night about herpes .  I had to share this information with my partner .  We planned a trip for my birthday I did not want to go.  I explained to him someone I loved and trusted gave me this. He was in a fiveyear relationship with a girl that was a virgin  I definitely know it's not coming from his side because I received the message  along time ago after sexual intercourse with my ex sent it's burning while  i'm peening are you OK ?maybe you should go to the doctor  I felt completely fine so I no need to go to the doctor  especially at the time since I have no insurance .   My partner explained it's OK he loves me For me sometimes those test have negatives.  I win back to the doctor and said please can I get a retest ?  He told me he has to wait six months in order to get retested again . I  experienced burning during intercourse .  I examined myself and told my partner I feel burning it hurts .  On my labia  I experienced little bumps that we really painful .  The same day I noticed them was early in the morning  I went to the doctor as soon as I noticed them. I asked is this an outbreak  then again he made it seem like it wasn't a big deal .  It's just a pimple she must get pimples on the vagina .  I said can you swap that pimple .  He said listen I'm 100% sure your test is going to come back negative . I thought to myself doctors aren't always right why did my result index come back so high.  I said please I am not leaving until I get a vagina swap.  He did the test I asked him if I can have sexual intercourse with my partner  he said yes that is no big deal .  The same way you get pimples on your face you get pimples in your vagina .  To me this was not like a pimple  I feel burning while urinating intercourse hurting me .  To me this looks like a blister  he said no it's definitely a pimple .  I asked if he can prescribe me antibiotics and cream because this hurts . What should I do does anybody else know???? Please help!!!

You need to find a new Dr. Clearly this individual is absolutely clueless about hsv. Those ranges are positive for the antibodies your body builds when you have the virus. Getting tested again is always the prudent thing to do.
The advice to have sexual Intercourse when a possible outbreak was happening (especially when a positive test result was given) is almost criminal. Not swabbing the area and lesion was just as bad.
You have received awful advice and medical care. For that I am truly sorry.
If you need confirmation get a western blot test from the University of Washington. They will send you a kit. Have a Dr draw the blood and send it back to the U.OF W.

Please let me know any specific questions you have as I will be glad to help you further.
