Herpes

I contracted herpes from my ex husband when he had a cold sore. After that incident, whenever he is stressed, he would have a break out in his genetic area.
I know that I'm a carrier of the virus but I have never had a break out , sores or any lesion.
My question is, my boyfriend is disease free and has had a vesectomy done. If I were to have sex with him with no condoms, can he contract the virus from me? Is there any medication that I can take to make sure he does not get it for me? Please help.

Oral hsv1 is passed by oral contact and genital hsv2 is passed by genital contact. If neither have on the other place they can get it. for example if you gave him oral sex he could contract hsv1 in the genital area and vise versa.

I don't remember if it was 1 or 2' but I'm going to get tested again.
Both my kids have cold sores, I guess they inherited it from their dad. But I don't have any cold sores.

Hi, did you actually test positive, if yes was it hsv1 or 2. Has your husband also tested positive?
If you have hsv1 orally and not in the genital area, then he cant catch it in the genital area.
If he already has hsv2 and you dont then you would be at risk to contract it in the genital area
