Protected Sex and Herpes

Hello

Although I have read many posts regarding this question, I have some concerns that I didn't see addressed and would like clarity on.

Recently, I have had protected sex with a female of unkown STI and Herpe status (she said she had no STIs) and even during this period when we did have sex she held the base of my shaft with her hand as a buffer which quite hurt actually so perhaps other than her hands and inner thighs her skin more or less didn't touch me at all (hands did for a hand job).

This was a "single exposure" and I know otherwise the risk is very low, however I did NOT check her inner thighs or hands to see if she had an "outbreak", so my question and why it's different is if someone had protected sex with someone who had a herpies *HSV-2" outbreak, is it still very low risk in getting herpes?

This all happened very recently so in terms of 1-2 weeks to see if there is anything present, I still got time to go and my mind races that I think I feel itching on my legs, or some pimples I get (from sweating) hurt on my leg I freak out.

Any clarification on this matter would be great in regards to realistic transmission risk with HSV-2 herpies outbreak.
