Herpes, Folliculitis, Molluscum, none of the above?

Hello,

29 year old male here, hoping to clear up a bit of confusion about whats going on "down there". I was sexually active with 3 girls in the past couple months, kind of regular hookups which sometimes involved condoms, and sometimes did not. About a month ago, I was shaving my pubic region, and the strangest thing happened...As I was shaving, red bumps started immmediately popping up. I've gotten shaving bumps many times in the past, but right away I could tell that this was different. A month later, they are still there, some isolated, some in clusters, about 15 total. They are small, pimple like with a white head and some redness around. Mostly in the pubic area, but there are one or two on the base of the penis, and strangely one very very small one on my foreskin. Dont really hurt, dont really itch. I've been looking at photos of herpes, folliculitis, molluscum, and it is all starting to blur together and it's tough to differentiate. I am currently uninsured, so I figured I'd start here and see the best option. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I agree. I wouldn't think herpes is realistic.

If they haven't blistered, turned into ulcers, scabbed over with a yellow crust in this time I'm inclined to rule out herpes, especially if they do not itch nor burn.

Beware of shaving too closely as breaks or cuts in the skin does leave room for a route of entry for an STD/STI when you're sexually active.

It would be very hard and irresponsible for us to try and solve this on a forum. Hsv lesions don't last this long without progressing. Mol has a black center. I would see a dermatologist. I know it will cost you some money but you need to get it looked at. Have you tried antibacterial cream?

Thanks for the response. I'm not using this forum as an end all be all, just a starting point, you know? I started using coconut oil last night, I've read that's helpful for stuff like this and I happened to have some around. Do you know if herpes can localize on the pubic hair region? Seems to counter my admittedly low understanding of the virus. Thanks again
