Herpes 1
I have herpes simplex one and seldom have outbreaks on my mouth..(maybe twice a yr) never anywhere else but I noticed I have a lesion on the top part of my butt where the "crack" starts.. I dosent itch or hurt but what I could tell I do have bumps on it like you would for a cold sore. Is it possible to have had a cold sore (which has been a long time ago, 8 months atleast) and maybe touched that area and transmitted the virus there? I am married and my husband has never had any type of herpes that I know of. Just confused on if I could have given it to myself! Thanks for your help!
thanks, yeah I made him go lastnight as well! we both had full panel STD, HSV 1and 2...just to be safe :) thanks I will repost when I find out the results.
As soon as you get your test results back , I"ll be better able to help you with this. If it is genital herpes, your hubby will need a blood test done too.

she said it could be herpes or shingles.. the way it looks I am pretty positive it is herpes... it looks just like the ones I get on my lips but there is about 1/2 inch of redness and swollen around the blisters..the whole site is about 2 inches in length and about 1 1/2 inch wide....fairly big I think! neither one of us has been tested before... so that is why i did that lastnight... so if the results come back that I have it and he doesnt then do I need to take an oral medication to prevent outbreaks and the poss risk of infecting him. And is that something I will always have to take on a daily basis? Do we have to wear condoms from now on?
no it doesn't mean that hubby has cheated on you. odds are that neither of you have ever been tested for herpes before to know your status. either of you could've had it prior to meeting and never knew it.

I went to the dr lastnight... they cultured it and drew blood. So your are saying that i cant give myself herpes down there if I have had outbreaks on my lips... so does that mean my husband has cheated on me? He has never had an outbreak that I know of is that possible to have never had an outbreak and still give it to me?
you need to go and be seen and have this checked out. It could be any number of things including shingles, bacterial infection or a fungal infection. If it's herpes simplex, it's from hubby and not from something you gave yourself.
