Herpes arm pain! Help!

I posted a few days ago regarding herpes (I have come into contact with a guy who has genital herpes but not had sex with him - STILL I am terrified I've got it) So I've read that you can get aching and body pain as a symptom of herpes. I am now experiencing aching in my upper arms between elbow and shoulder and feel very weak. Could this be herpes? I'm freaking out!! :( Please help!

Hi Grace, sorry to both you but I've now come down with Flu. Is this something to worry about?? Is it a common symptom of herpes?

the free herpes handbook by Terri Warren is a terrific resource to learn more about herpes. You can google it and it comes right up!

In the UK, herpes igg blood testing is done by private providers, not in the GUM clinics.

No I haven't but I am tempted to now. How is a Herpes test done exactly? Is it a blood test?

This guy is from Australia, is there a higher rate there?

have you ever been tested for herpes to know your own status?

the rates of hsv2 in the UK are incredibly low. The rates of hsv1 orally are about the same as here in the US - 1 out of every 2-3 people you know has it. It's really quite common and something to be educated about, not fearful of!

I don't think I can continue the relationship :( I'm absolutely terrified of contracting Herpes. I thought after he initially told me and once I understood more about it that I would feel more comfortable but I don't at all. If I had sex with him I would feel extremely uneasy, I know that sounds awful.

This whole situation has turned me into a massive hypochondriac unfortunately. It's not just with him I'm scared of catching it from now though its any future relations! I never really thought about it before and now I'm like whoa! Anyone could have and not even know!

Sorry to rant. Thanks for your reply Grace, I really appreciate it.
