Herpes or Vaginal Staph Infection
Hello everyone...On September 11,2010 i got my period i was out at the casinos so i had bought the kotex brand pads the following day when i got home i felt a little itch on the inside of my Labia Minora everyway i sat it was so uncomfortable it was itching like crazy i got in the shower and took a hand mirror and lookd at my private and the itchy part was a pimple like bump i poped it and it didnt take much to pop it i squeezed it very gently and out it came so the followin day i had a bump on my Labia Minora the lining of it and it continously kept rubbing against my panty which made it grow the size of a pea so i visit my GYN the Dr. Looked at it and quickly said it looked like HERPES i was freaked out...She said i definitely had a yeast and she tested me for herpes and gave me a prescription for my yeast and also a presc. For the herpes inwhich she just assume from the looks of it i been with my fiance for 5 years he's been in prison for a year and 4 months now and i havent been sexually active since but he havent had any symptoms...i got my yeast creme but i didnt bother getin the herpes pres. Cause how didnt i know it could of been the yeast causing all this mess so everything went away i went back for my result and they freaking made an error on my test and tested me for Gon and Chlamy which came back negative so now its October my period came on and the same bump came back on the same exact spot it doesnt it or burn when i urinate i dont feel them.. Does anyone know what this might be??? I also tend to sweat alot down there when im sitting for a long time and also when i sleep or wear silky panties does this sound like herpes?? HELP ME PLEASE!!

Hi Grace i totally forgot to get back to you after my appointment....Well i went and she examined me they bump was fairly there after it had came back but it was going away but you could slightly see it she said it looked like a sweat gland to here and that it was nothing to worry about now i dont have any Medical Ins. So she said that if im still concerned weather or not it is Herpes for me to get a blood test and them things are expensive they round up to $400.00 i cant afford that now she said that i would know if its herpes cause of the outbreak and discomfort. She didnt test me cause there was practically nothing there but she did say it looked like a sweat gland im still concerned and im trying to look for a free clinic that does blood tests for herpes cause she already embedded that in my head so i hope to find one soon.
if she orders type specific herpes igg blood testing, you can tell if you have hsv1, hsv2 or both.

She also said if i was to get a blood test and if it came out positive they wouldnt be able to tell whether its HVS1 or 2.
See i dont have Medical and the last time when i for my result remember in how i mentioned they made and error and tested me for gon and chla instead of herpes i asked the gyn can she test me again right there and then and she said she couldnt cause the bump went away and there wasnt anything for her to take a sample from to test i asked her for a blood test and she said they didnt do it there so she sent me to Quest Diangnostics but i didnt go bcus being as though they messed up on my first test she told me if the bump came back to go in and i wasnt gonna be charged for my visit.
if it's gone, keep your appointment and get properly tested for yeast and bacterial infections. also get a type specific herpes igg blood test done to check for that.
See i wish the lady receptionist would had told me that it was fine to go in with my period she didnt say anything...i think it will be too late cause the bump is going away i definitely think by Thursaday it will be too late...their probably not gona have anything earlier available....if it gone by thursday i can always reschedule.

i made an appointment its this Thursday coming up being as though im on my mences i couldnt get it for sooner...ive just been preparing myself for the worst i spoke to my fiance about it it was hard cause i didnt know how to tell him without him thinking i was cheating on him. After my first appointment i was so depressed wondering if it could of been herpes or just friction or just from the yeast infection...Doesnt Staph infection occur the same way?

At this point a type specific herpes igg blood test would be helpful. I also recommend going back to be seen again. get retested for yeast and bacterial infections. if you haven't popped this lesion, you can also get it tested for herpes while you are there if you can be seen today or tomorrow.
you wouldn't have fever, headaches or anything else at this point since it wouldn't be a newly acquired infection. if indeed you do have herpes, if you haven't had sex in over a year, it would just be your first obvious recurrences, not a newly acquired infection.

Symptoms i had none whats so ever! No fever,headaches,nausea,body aches NONE
Bumps/breakouts scaled from 1-10 i would rate it a 1 Because its only in one spot and its only 1 bump.
Please tell me what you guys think.
