HSV2

My boyfriend and I had sex over month ago, a couple weeks later I'm having symptoms of a yeast infection, another week goes by and bumps appear. We both got tested and he comes out negative for HSV 2 and mine positive. Now that last time we had sex he had a cold sore on his lip. Is it possible for me to get it that way? If so how come he was negative for type 2? We haven't had sex since that last time at all.

How long after your symptoms did you get tested. Primary outbreaks happen 3-14 days later and very rarely out to 20 days.

What test did they give you? Igm or igg? What was your numeric value of the test? This is all very important information so if you don't  know, call your Dr for the specifics.
