Herpes outbreak?

Two years ago I was diagnosed with genital herpes but I've only taken one round of the medication because it's never very bad...just minor itching.  I'm pretty sure I got it from someone with a cold sore.  Now I'm scared it's spread.  I have white itchy bumps on my hands.  I have itchy bumps on my body.  I have itchy bumps in my ears and ear pain.  And I had an outbreak of really bad throat bumps filled with puss in my throat, which my doctor said was viral but did not say if it was herpes.  My eyes are also almost always itchy and it feels like things are in them, i've had to stop wearing contacts and changed to glasses. now my nose is itchy on the inside and there's small bumps.  Do you think these things could all be herpes or am I just being paranoid?  I'm scared to ask my doctor.

At this point you need to go and be seen and get a proper work up done. While there, ask your doctor if he typed your lesion culture that he did. If he didn't, then you need to get a type specific herpes igg blood test done to see which type(s) you have no your body. Your bf is also going to need to get a herpes blood test done too because you can't make educated decisions about what precautions to take together until you know who has what.

Not all itching will be due to herpes.

You will not have herpes causing issues all over your body like this. Something is going on and it needs dealt with properly so make a couple of appointments and go from there.

I'm really worried and stressed about this because I've been dating a guy for a year and we have not done anything sexual AT ALL because we're waiting til we're married to do anything, but we just got engaged.  I'm scared we won't be able to have sex without wearing a condom, i won't be able to give or receive oral, i won't ever be able to have children, he will get infected, and we'll never have good sex because of always having to worry about herpes.

yes, my doctor did the test where she took a sample of the lesion and sent it to be tested and it came back positive for herpes but she did not give me much information. she prescribed the pill form of acyclovir to me and said to get the prescription filled when i had outbreaks.  i haven't had anything bad in two years but i finally did a few weeks ago, just more intense itching and a little pain when wiping, but my prescription was expired. i've been tested for everything else since then and havent had any sexual contact at all of any kind since i found out i had this.  thank you so much for answering my questions!!! i feel so much more at ease now.

Were you never tested for herpes? A visual diagnosis is wrong 1/3 of the time - many things can mimic herpes. Only proper testing can tell you your herpes status.

That aside, follow-up with your provider and get a proper exam/test. Itching alone is much more indicative of bacteria or yeast.

i had some light itching and tiny bumps down there after the first time i had sex but i had received oral a lot before that and we used a condom so it'd make sense it was from the oral. my doctor never specified what type of herpes i have. should i be taking meds if my symptoms aren't very bad? it's like constantly itchy but not even bad enough i want to scratch it and i only sometimes notice very small bumps. i think maybe im just paranoid and have eczema. but the throat thing i thought maybe could be herpes since i've given oral. i don't know.  i'm glad you told me it can't spread around the body like that because i was getting  really freaked out!

This is not herpes related. I would suggest seeing a dermatologist at this point. Herpes just does not spread around the body like this.

How were you originally diagnosed as having genital herpes?
