Do I have herpes or not?

Hi everyone,
I'm a college student and I had unprotected sex with a girl 9 months ago. About a week after, I had burning when I peed so I went and got checked for chalymida and test was negative. But then after another 2 weeks I started having itching around my pubic area and anus and buttocks. I started freaking out thinking I had herpes. I went and got a blood test and it was negative. I have never had a outbreak with sores. I once had a blister on my lower abdomen pubic area but doc said it was probably an ingrown hair. It went away quickly and did not blister over. I'm typing this 9 months after and have had the same symptoms for all 9 months now. I have had 4 blood tests. One at 3 weeks, then another at 7 weeks, then another at 4 months, then another at 7 months. All have been negative. I have been extremely depressed because I have been too scared to talk to girls since I feel like I'm going to give them herpes. So the point of my post is to ask you all, does herpes symptoms last for 9 months straight(itching around genitals but no visible rash) and could I still have it eventhough I have tested negative 4 times with the last time being 7 months after possible exposure? Thanks everyone, I really appreciate this site.

Absolutely not. Don't over think this. Hsv symptoms absolutely will not last that long. Has nothing to do with antibodies. Has everything to do with the way the virus works. It comes to the surface to shed the virus then retreats down the nerve path. You do not have hsv. What you choose to believe is entirely up to you.

You are clean. The test for hsv2 is very sensitive and people who do not make antibodies do exist but are rare. Combine your negative tests and no lesions... believe your tests. You can move forward without hsv on your mind

Sorry to keep trying to contradict you. But just thinking, since my symptoms haven't gone away in 9 months, is my body not producing antibodies since my body hasn't gotten rid of the symptoms and that's why the antibodies are not showing up in tests? Or would I have at least gotten lesions since my body is not fighting it?

You clearly do not have herpes. Your tests are conclusive. I wish you luck finding relief for your symptoms.

Thanks for the response. I've heard that sometimes the tests aren't exactly accurate or it takes longer for the antibodies to show up in tests for certain people so that's why I have been nervous. All doctors I have seen said I don't have it. I just can't get it through my brain that I'm clean.
