Dear Experts,
I'm really sorry to bother again -- I have decided to move on but couple of things are stopping me -
PS -My exposure , Aug 20, 2016- unprotected oral. protected vaginal,
In November I had a pimple with pus on pubic hair region, no lesion was performed as I did blood tests.
Feb 2nd Week - A new pimple developed beside the old pimple in the pubic hair region
- I visited dermatologist after 5-8 days of pimple appearing - he said it's herpes and no swab was done as it's too old
- I visited infectious disease specialist and he said its a papule and not herpes
From Feb 23, I started having lower body aches, (buttocks, knee joints, ankle joints, legs) and NO noticeable lesions developed.
I did blood test again on Feb 23 (26th week)
HSV1 0.09
HSV2 <0.5
Today, March 2nd, ache has come to down to mild.
My doubt is virus causing these symptoms without noticeable lesions ?
Am I infected with HSV1 or HSV2 on genital. ?
What should be my next steps?
All other STDs negative.
I have fungal infection, so just not able to differentiate between herpes and fungal infection. I first noticed pain in rectal area after 13 weeks of exposure but I had severe fungal infection then so doctor just prescribed cream. So I applied cream allover genetial, rectal, thigh,. Applied continously for 6 weeks.(18 weeks) Then break.. At 21st burning or pain started. I went for test at 23Rd week. Since last few days I'm applying cream only on thighs. I've taken anti fungal tablets as well. I haven't told doc about exposure.
In the absence of you having lesions. Absolutely trust your tests
These tests are absolutely conclusive. You can move forward without concern.
ADDITION - Both tests performed using CLIA method
