Ive had sex with over 10 prostitutes, including on trips to asia and the middle east, ive always used a condom whilst having sex, but not always when having a blow job or body to body massage.... what is the chance of me having herpes. i am a soldier and felt lonely and did this as a means of companianship, i know its wrong now and shall never be doing it again...what are the chances of me having other stds

your symptoms do not sound like herpes going on.  odds are it's folliculitis or a fungal infection going on.

you should be able to get a full std screening done fairly cheaply through the military.

also these pimple sores have been there for a while now and have not gone away, i heard herpes comes and goes, so could this be something else. how much does a full std test cost

Firstly thanks a lot for the comment, we often dont hear people saying good thinks about us, so it really does mean alot.

secondly although i have never been tested, im pretty sure i have herpes, i have alot of itchy small pimple like bumps scattered all over my penis and testicals. Are the chances of me having something else very high too?

how dangerous is herpes to my health, im scared now. please let me know

I know this my not be the most approriate place to say this but I still feel it should be said. I would like to thank you for your service as a military member. I have a lot of family that is/was in the service including a retired US Army service member.  Without your service a lot of us wouldn't have things to be thankful for.  So truly thank you for your service.

Oral sex is a low risk for herpes tranmission.  It isn't the best at transmission and even if your partners did have HSV not every encounter leads to infection.  Condoms are low at preventing Herpes during sexual encounters (about 30% effective).


if your last sexual encounter was longer than 3 months ago you can request a Herpes type specific igg testing along with all the other STD's. The condom would protected against best against the other STDs.  Though it doesn't hurt to have a STD screening.  A few things to remember some people haven't had an IGG test for Herpes and don't know their own HSV status.  If you have never been tested and you test positive there is no way to tell if this was a infection previously or a recent one as a result of the 10 sexual encounters.  HIV and Herpes testing would be most accurate at 3 months and beyond.
