Long outbreak

I was recently diagnosed with HSV2. I have never developed a painful, blistering outbreak. I do have 2 red bumps that look like whiteheads on the bottom of the head of my penis. I have had tingling sensation there for the last 5 months. I have been on daily Valtrex for about a month. Is this normal for hSV2? I thought the sores blister then go away. I appreciate any feedback.

Do the whiteheads come and go in the same location?

It said I was positive with a 1.2 value. I'm just stumped about never having a blister and the red bumps with whiteheads have rarely even changed in appearance. It's been way to long. I wonder if it could be something else?

was it type specific and the 20 could be negative with some tests, Did the test say any value about 1.2 is positive?

Confirmed IGG blood test. Values were high like in the 20's. I am confused with my symptoms also. Everything I read doesn't correspond to my symptoms.
