My PA told me I might have Herpes down there... but I’ve had no real symptoms.

The only “symptoms” I’ve had are the red bumps down. On the head of my penis.... I was tested the day after I did oral with an old buddy and those test results came back negative. But that night I noticed two little red tiny bump on my penis. I thought nothing of it till I noticed a few more. Mind you I went in the 18th with feeling I had strep (came back positive for strep) so I took the pills she gave me and after I heard my test were negative (I was tested for all the STD’s... I made sure they always do and did the **** testing too...) after I finished the bottle she gave me to get rid of my strep I went back in to have her fill my prescription for my acne medicine and I asked her to take a look down there. Now I’ve known my PA to be wrong before and my Family doctor to be spot on but my PA is free and my mother doesn’t see why I went to the doctors. I’m 19. She examined my penis (I’m uncircumcised) and said it looks like Herpes. I told her I didn’t feel the typical symptoms.  No itching (besides the occasional itch every guy has) no burning when I pissed. No tingling nothing. The bumps felt (raw) but the tip of my penis always feels like that... I masterbate at least once a day and have stopped since she told me that. I’m waiting on my results. But since I’ve not had any other symptoms could it be something else? Mind you the guy (I’m gay) I was with said he was tested before and I know he’s only been with one other person. Please help!

First of all, I would not put a lot of faith in a visual assessment.

When was the exposure? Was it oral only? What kind of test did you have done?

The exposure was the 17th of Sept. only oral. I’m not sure the specific test but I know she sent it off to be tested for the specific “type” of Herpes. If it is. And she swabbed it. To my knowledge they havnt filled or “popped” in any ways.
I forgot to add she did put me on an antiviral as she called it. Valacyclovir 1GM TAB. I’m suppose to take it twice a day for ten days.
Please help!

I'm also not sure why you would start taking antivirals without a positive test and for "small red dots" that aren't bothering you.

Herpes is usually painful.

Based on what you posted, there isn't anything "risky" about your exposure.

If the antiviral made them disappear does that mean I have them?
