I have unprotected sex June 18th like an idiot. I have had protected sex prior minimal (3 times over a year prior) . Last week, July 5th, I get sick, sore throat and hot and cold flashes at time. I has been 17-18 days since this sex.

At this time had nothing on groin area or penis. I go to doctor next day and tell him my symptoms and about the unprotected sex. He does a swab on tonsils and I asked to be tested for std. He had blood draw for HIV, Hepatitis and Syphilis. I go home and that evening still feeling same notces one blister that was skin color on penis shaft. I did have some tingling earlier in week in penis on and off fora day before I got sick. I also noticed two other red with black dot centered pimples on ball sack. I then get really scared read online see herpes may be it. I pop the blister which was small oval shape about 3/16" long and white puss came out. I then poped the two on balls. I washed hands and was terrified.  No redness around it and not sore or burny or tingly anymore. Next day I get told all tests are negative but the swab on tonsils was not back yet.  I then think they didnt test for herpes. Its sunday, Im feeling better, throat still a little red and blister is almost healed and gone.  I am thinking this could be herpes and completely terrified. I have another doctors appointment in a month and want to ask for herpes blood test.  I am going crazy worried, not sleeping much. Does this sound like herpes?

time to stop thinking std's as a cause and think non-std causes. follow up with your provider as needed.

Having a sore throatcoming back and then goes for a few day and comes back this long is not normal and the burning/inflamation in penis seems to happen when I get the sore throat with the other odd symptoms. Readying about herpes, it seems when you have outbreak, you get blisters or area like cold sore that lasts for more than a few days.

I am no longer having anal drip. That was happening a few weeks back when I was given the antibiotics. The anal drip is gone and it when I did have it, it was mucousy and when I took the meds it was gone in a few days but then itchy for a day then that was gone.

Last weekend I have like I said the pimples show, then I got hot cold flashes and tired/fatiqued. The pimples cause the pee hole tip to be inflamed/erratated for two days. Reading online it seems anything that is a red bump or pimple is suspect of herpes. Do you think this is STD? I never had anything like this happen before. I asked the person I had sex with back in june who claims she is clean.

what kind of anal drip are you having? mucousy discharge, liquid stool, green/yellow discharge?

not likely you have gonorrhea in your throat and it's easily treated too.

No. I did not receive. It was vaginal and oral (both).  I did read you could get gonorrehea in throat which they claim is more difficult to cure and easy to catch if the other person has it.

I am heading back to PCP this week. I took the antibiotic pills should I ask for injection? I am really concerned about herpes and you have mentioned it does not present but when you are feeling this way and dont know for sure or have results that cure, you really get worried. I truely hope it is not herpes. When you read online about herpes it seems anything that resembles a bump or pimple is suspect.

herpes won't present the way your symptoms are now.

continue to be seen by your provider everytime you have symptoms. might be worthwhile repeating your gonorrhea testing too.

did you have unprotected anal sex ( receiving )?

I wanted to add after reading about ghonorrea or chlamidea in throat, could that have also been present and was not fully cured with antibiotics?

My penis where the pimple at end on urethia opening did not burn but was inflammed around opening.

Update: I took the medications prescribed, most all symptoms went away but it took a few days for the anal drip I had with burning testicles to go. It seems each day for two week my body was fighting it as each day things seem to change. Mu penis head seemed to have bumps but not like a blister, more like the bumps where pour are? No pain or anything and it seem to go in another two days.

I thought I was ok then until last sunday 8-28. I started to feel sore throat coming on again when it seems to go away. The next day ,hot and cold flashes, seen a small pimple on tip of penis (urethra?) opening with white head and one more on my penis head. I poped them and white pimple like puss came out.  Then another on the rim of my penis head which agian I popped. Two healed in a two days the last is about same. I have looked at soo many herpes pictures and I did not get a group of blisters that ruptured, it was three white headed pimples that healed in two days. I plan on returning to PCP for follow up. I am not sure and just looking at everything and praying what ever it is I can cure and heal from. This really is taking a toll on me physically and mentally.

What do you think at this point?

Went back to PCP again. Same issue sore throat, on and off buring in penis and testicles at times, had anal drip on and off now and seems like leak from penis overnight. She just prescribed me Zithroman (2 500mg) and 1 Suprax 400 mg. I took the zithromax yesterday evening, felt a little better at bed. Today I took the Suprax. We will see if this helps.

I dont think I have herpes but so scared it could be. Not knowing for sure is what is really tough.

herpes won't cause these symptoms. save your money, no need for more testing.

perhaps see an urologist if your regular provider is stumped.

Thank you for responding. I plan on going back for follow up again. I am desperate o find t what is wrong with me at this point. The last time I was at dotor, I expected her to figure this out but she has not. This is taking a mental toll on me because I simply dont know what it is. Not sleep all night and not eating all the time.

When I questioned the doctor how accurate the blood and urin tests were, she got an attitude and said these tests are accurate. If you are saying its early, how long should I wait before being retested? of course I am not having sex but terrified this is major. I never had anything like this before. What has me so conerned is n off sore throat and the burning that I have felt at timesin scotum and penis.

you've had hsv1 orally since you were a child and it won't reoccur like this so you know it's not that.

it was still too early for hsv2 testing but really no reason to repeat it, nothing you've mentioned sounds herpes related.

you could have an upper respiratory virus taking this long to run its course or something else causing your sore throats like allergies or sinus issues.

not likely you have gonorrhea or chlamydia with negative testing. you could have ngu or prostatitis but your symptoms don't really sound like that either. continue to follow up with your provider as needed for continued symptoms.

I have went back to my doctor again (after blood syphillis, hiv and hep all negative) and and had Herpes blood test and results were hsv 1 positive (oral) which I had since I was a kid and hsv 2 negative. Sore throat comes and goes, its more raw and red, tongue has raised rear taste buds? Groin and penis have burn skin feeling but not all the time either. I have said to my doctor what is causing the sore throat ,she said virus then insisted all my stds tests are negative outside of oral and 80% of pop have that. She thinks I am being paranoid.

It has been about a month since I first got this sore throat, sweats but no fever, tired and feet tingled, penis tingled a few days before. Now, it on off red tonsils and peeing seems like i have less control on on off.

Ideas? I think my docotors is not listening to me but I wonder do I have clap or gonoreaha even though my pee test was negative? I did have vaginal and oral sex on June 18th.

the only std testing you would've had that would've been accurate at 18 days post encounter was chlamydia and gonorrhea if you were tested for those. It was too early for hepatitis, syphilis and hiv.

your symptoms do not sound like herpes going on. if you need the peace of mind, you need to wait 3 months post encounter for herpes testing. should you get new genital symptoms before then, you can be seen for lesion cultures of symptoms. since you've picked at everything now, it's too late ( not that they sound like herpes ).
