So I'm 17 and was diagnosed with Herpes Type 2, when i was 15. My first outbreak of the infection included sore'ness, itchy'ness, bright red in color, thick lumpy discharge and an outbreak of open sores. I obviously went to my doctors to get looked and and she told me i had Herpes. She never properly tested me for the virus, eg. blood tests. I have never had any proper tests since as i didn't think it could be anything else. But since my first outbreak, when i have a 're-occurence' (if i do have herpes) of the infection i never ever have any open sores. My symptoms just included sore'ness, itchy'ness, aches and pains where i would usually experience period pains and a smelly discharge which is either thick and lumpy or runny like liquid. (the color never changes). I just wanted to know if anyone could tell me if there is a chance that maybe i could of been wrongly diagnosed? Because i have now lived with depression for a year and a half from knowing i have herpes and i would very much like to be with someone who i feel very strongly for, but being my age and having to tell a partner is not possible for me, i would more than likely be turned away and then it would be spread round. Please can somebody help me?
