Possible Herpes?

On May 19th, I went to an Asian massage parlor. After the massage, she gave me protected oral sex and then we ended up having protected vaginal sex. I came inside the condom

On 3rd June, I started to get a slight itch in my inner thigh/groin area, esp where the scrotum meets the thigh. The itch was worse on 4th though bearable and then it went away but felt a burning sensation around my anus again bearable but worse when sitting down. The sensation of the anus stayed till June 5th and again this morning on 7th, I had an itching feeling around the same area as before (scrotum meets the thigh). After 3 hours, the itching feeling has subsided and the burning in the anus has begun again

Questions:

1) What is the chance that this could be herpes?
2) What should I be on the lookout for?

Please advise

thanks

symptoms occur within 2-20 days after the encounter.

no reason to doubt this is jock itch from what you've posted. have you treated it properly yet?

hey grace,

thanks for your answer. I did go to the doc and he checked the "affected" areas and didnt see any blisters or cuts anywhere. He mentioned that its probably jock itch and that i should look out for blisters and come to him if i see some.

I forgot to ask him, so i am hoping i could ask you: what is the time frame in which the symptoms of hsv1/2 appear in the genital area??? do they always resemble a cut/blisters?

you have active symptoms so you need to be seen and have them properly evaluated.

odds are this is not a std but follow up on it properly.
