Tingling, malaise, sore throat

I had protected vaginally sex at a massage parlor. 4 days later I developed a sore throat and malaise.  Then proceeded to develop pinprick, tingling sensations in buttocks, thigh, Hamstring, groin area. I never had an outbreak. No rash, no itching, no pain. Occasionally I would feel a burning sensation in urethra. I tested for chlamydia, gonorrhea, hiv, syphilis on day 7 after exposure and all have been negative.
My questions are: I heard herpes affects the nerves, the tingling sensation I had is that possibly a sign of it?
Can you be mildly symptomatic and not have an outbreak?
I have a girlfriend and am wondering when it is safe for me to have intercourse with her?
I have seen an nurse practioner at an std clinic and he says it is very unlikely herpes.

It would be HIGHLY unlikely for you to get herpes from a one time, protected encounter.

Also, you need to get an outbreak in order for you to get nerve pain. My guess is that at least some of this is anxiety.

Thanks. That's what I am assuming. My anxiety has been super high as I am regretful of the experience and scared to pass anything onto my girlfriend. I think I have developed some kind of ultra awareness in my groin area and feel every little thing now and every sensation sends me down the rabbit hole...of do i have this? Do I have that? Thanks for your help.
You're welcome. :)
