Question about testing

A quick question about HSV testing and time frames.  As you know I posted before about an unprotected sexual encounter in early December.  After talking with my partner she said she was clear of all STD and was tested two years ago, but couldn't remember if HSV was included.  Upon talking about she decided to get tested for HSV because a little over month after the exposure I developed two small bumps in my pubic area about an inch above my penis.  They have been there a week now and never looked like a blister, popped or did anything consistent with HSV, they were just a bit sore to the touch.  All they did was get less red with time and are still there but a bit smaller.  Does that sound anything like HSV?  And is the pubic hair a common place for an outbreak?  About testing, it has only been 47 days (just over 6 weeks) and I know I would have to wait to myself tested for HSV.  But like I said she is gonna get tested and obviously I'm looking to see if she had any prior infection.  She has told me she gets cold sores occasionally but I didn't notice any on her lips when we our encounter (oral sex was also performed).  What is the absolute minimum number of weeks she  that has to pass from her last sexual encounter (besides mine) to have a accurate test?  She had blood drawn for the test today.

Dr Hook already gave you some terrific replies.  have you been seen yet and had these looked at by a medical professional?

Any advice on the accuracy of testing after 9 weeks?  Is there a rough percentage on how accurate the test would be three weeks shy of 12?  Sorry to be a pain but I'm trying my best to put this to rest.

Quick update.  I talked to my partner again and she said her last sexual encounter before me was the weekend of November 17 and that she used protection.  That would make it roughly 9 weeks after from her last exposure besides me.  How accurate would the blood results for this encounter be at 9 weeks?

There in lies the problem.  The two bumps, which I forgot to mention are about a 1/2 inch apart, appeared last Tuesday when I was on a week long trip for work.  I guess I could go now but wouldn't 8 days be too long to have any swabbed?   And I figured given the location of the bumps (my pubic hair) it wasn't anything too much to worry about but anxiety can get the best of you.  What's you thoughts on he testing for my partner?  Like I said she got tested this morning but I should double check when her last partner beside me was?  Any partner say that was a week before me would have been roughly 8 weeks.  I know that's not twelve but would her results be somewhat definitive at that time?  Thanks for your help once again!
