Im 18 and have never had sex but im scared of herpes

Ever since 4 years ago when i discovered how much my scrotum itches i have been worried about have herpes type 2. I tend to have a lot of white bumps and fairly larger puss filled bumps appear randomly. They do not appear very often but they do pop like a pimple. I have very very small white pearly bumps in the skin where i was circumsized. Those bumps have been there since i can remember, they never disappeared or anything. They aren't extremely pain full or anything. I have never had any blisters on my penis, just larger pimple like things on my scrotum.
Should I be worried about herpes? I do not understand how i would have contracted it, because i am still a virgin. Do you think this is anything to be worried about? If not herpes then what could it be?

educate yourself about std's and talk to your potential partners about their testing. odds are they aren't getting tested to know their status. suggest testing to see who has what and then practicing protected sex will help protect you for the std's we don't have the  means to test for easily too.

have you had your gardasil shots to protect you against hpv for when you are sexually active?

Thanks! Thats what i thought it was, I have turned down sex because of the looming fear of herpes. I was informed that what you described was my problem.

you have to be sexually active in order to contract genital herpes.  you aren't sexually active so obviously this isn't herpes going on.

these sound completely normal.  hair follicles will get this way on the scrotum.  the other small bumps you mention near the head of your penis sound like normal pearly penile papules.
