I have had herpes for 25 years just a few years ago I have started having hip/buttocks/pain ..was told I had bursitis of the hip...had several injections with not much luck....physical therapy..finally had an MRI shows no bursitis...went to another DR. said its my low back...degenerative disk disease...I explained to two Drs that I have Herpes and asked if this pain can be related because the virus lays in the lower back.....both said no....so got back injection's which helped for a few months than pain is back again...now this morning I woke up in horrific pain in my right buttocks/hip/thigh/back the pain is so back I can barely walk... its throbbing so bad making me cry...well about 2 hours ago I noticed the tingling in the vagina area and now I have a sore...can a sore in that area make your butt/hip/back hurt that bad? or is it my back issue?? so confused and this is hell!!! thanku

The list of symptoms are not independent of each other. Two or three random ones cannot be chosen and lead to the thinking that this may be herpes.
You should really think about stopping the antivirals until you have a diagnosis of herpes. There is little to be gained by taking them. There is not a strong link between antivirals and delayed seroconversion, although it does happen in some people.
You are very likely negative. Give your body the space it needs and retest in say 6 weeks.
What do you mean the only? Is it a symptom?
I had my last test 18.5 weeks past it was neg however I was on antivirals at the time.
No this would tend not to be the only presentation of herpes.
When was the last HSV test that you have had, how far post the exposure and what were the results?
