The doctors told me to get tested again

Hello Grace, my doctor told me to retest at six months. I have cold sores. Why would the doctor tell me to re test at six months? Could it be cause my hsv 1 could sero delay my test result for hsv 2 from the exposure?

I'm not grace, and I don't know why you would'nt need to wory about hsv2 orrally? but I belive some people may never show antibodies to hsv2? so your best bet is to have a swab done if you have a sore? Good luck I know this is frusterateing!!!!!!
