Hi, only testing would confirm if you have hsv but what your describing really doesnot appear herpes related. Even though some outbreaks could be painless, Generally hsv2 genital is painful and more often appear in the vaginal area vrs the pubic mound. Herpes prefers the soft moist areas.
All the pages that I've read do describe it being painful and in the vaginal area. I'm just worried because the bumps resemble pictures that I've looked at. I've have the bumps for a about a week and a half but they haven't turned to sores. Maybe I'm just worrying too much.
Yes i think your worring too much. But since you have a passed sexual history, you should test for the protection of future partners.
It sounds like you have HPV (not herpes). It is also an incurable STD, but the symptoms go away usually after 6 months to 2 years (HPV is known to cause tiny red bumps that bleed a lot if damaged). HPV is highly contagious, so do not "pop" the bumps and spread the virus around or you could make it worse. Go see a doctor to make sure.
