herpes time frame for symptoms

OK, I had a risky encounter with a girl and made the mistake of no condom use.  The encounter took place at 4:30 am, by 4:30 pm that same day I noticed a rash in my pubic arera and 3 to 4 smell dots or zits on the penus.  The question is could this be early signs of herpes, all the internet sites say 2 to 20 days for symptoms.  I am freaked out because the rash is still there although it seems to be going away the encounter was satuday morning it is monday morning now.  I guess I am wondering if 12 hours is enough to have initial herpes symptoms?  Or is this possible somthing else STD related. Obviously I am getting tested but the herpes symptoms is on my mind.
Thanks for any help.

You'd have to see your provider for a further evaluation to even begin to figure out what the rash was from. It could've been reaction to lube or condoms or even just her literally rubbing you the wrong way amongst many other things.

wonder what the rash was from though, you can understand the concwern with the timing of the encounter and symptoms.  I have never had a rash like that ever before.

Herpes would not show up  that quickly, since you had unprotected sex it would be wise to be tested for all STD's also depending on how risky you consider the encounter to be you might want to take an HIV test later on so that you are certain of your own status  .....
