is constant itching without lesions/sores/cuts herpes? or something else?

Thank you so much for the illumination you have been giving to individuals like me over the years. Around 9 months ago, I twice had protected sex with a female who I did not know had HSV2 at the time.  I understand that there is the possibility of contracting this STD, however I have not shown any visible signs of herpes. I mean for the past 6 months, I have had mild itching all over groin (especially the top sides of the area just were the penis shaft meets my groin), very mild burning around inner thighs (non-existent now),  and NO sores, cuts, lesions or anything. I notice the itching almost on a daily basis especially around times its a little dirty down there, although it looks normal down there and jock itch meds havent worked. I have always convinced myself that the worst is HSV and it doesn't worry me anymore now. However, I recently got involved with a woman that I want to date, I am no worried that this might be herpes. I have not had unprotected sex with anyone before :/ . what could this be?

This surely is not hsv related. Herpes is a virus and viruses follow patterns. General itching is not a symptom of hsv period. There are many claims to this online but there is no actual evidence. Get yourself an igg blood test and when it comes back negative move on and don't look back
