If not herpes than what?
OK, here we go. Almost two weeks ago I had sex wice with a woman who told me later on the she had HSV-2. During both altercations the condom had broke. The 1st time I noticed I pulled out quickley and that was that. But the second time it broke I didn't notice til after I had ejaculated. So, after the 2nd time we had sex the next day I had a tingling sensation in the head of my penis. Nothing painful at all, but enough to make me realize something wasn't right. Now I do masturbate, and have had irritation on the head and under the head before. But, never had a tingling sensation before. Anyways, after speaking with the woman I asked many question and she was very honost. She has HSV-2 for 2 1/2 yrs and has only had two outbreaks, the last was November of 2010. She went on to tell me that she has not had any symptoms during our altercation as well as after and it has been a week since we last "Hooked up". I don have a health clinic appt for a week from now but my mind is really getting the best of me. For example, When I wake in the morning, or playing a video game, cutting the grass, I do not feel it. It'swhen I sit and think about it when I notice it. It just feels sore. I have no flu like symptoms, no body aches, and no blisters, just the irritation of the head. Any insight would b greatley appreciated.
Hey grace, my appt is 2marro and I'm once again very paranoid about the situation still. It has been 18 days since my 1st encounter with this woman and 12 days since the last. Not much has changed since last time. Prolly cause I can't stop masturbating. My symptoms still goes as followed, soreness just in the head of the penis with a lil redness. I take it this might be from the masturbation, like I'm annoying the skin. I have felt soreness like this before from masturbation. But other than the soreness, I still have no other symptoms........No flu like feeling, no headaches, no fatigue, no blisters, and I still feel it most when I'm sitting and really doing nothing. For example I went to a theme park over the weekend and at times 4got all about it. So I guess my question would be, that in your experience in this field, have there been alot of situations like mine that was hsv-2. And should I expect blisters soon if they are to come. Most sites I've read say that hsv-2 should be noticed anywhere from 2days-2weeks. Since I'm at the 2 week mark now I find my self in prayer more often than not. But also, last week after your advice I refrained from the masturbation for a couple of days and noticed the soreness subsiding. Your advice was sooooo helpful last week, i'm just hoping for the same this week, and once again thank you!!!

Hey Grace, thank you very much for your time in hearing me out. Topics like this are hard to talk about with those close to you. I don't feel completely releived, nor will I til I go to the clinic, but all of this info helped ease my anxiety towards it.
dark smelly urine is from not drinking enough fluids, not from herpes.

Thanks, after I spoke with the female in question she pretty much told me the same thing. The 1st thing she asked me was if I had a fever. But my concern is the length of duration I have been feeling this sensation for. It started Sat 8/27 in the morning. But after our first encounter earlier in the week urination was dark and smelly for 2 days. But nothing like that since. Also, she had a slight vaginal odor, could this quite possibley be a penile yeast infection?
If you had spent a whole weekend with your neices and nephews camping and then wednesday you get the phone call from your sister that the kids were all just diagnosed as having head lice, what tends to happen? You start itching your head non-stop and convince yourself that they gave you head lice too. Same thing tends to happen when you find out a partner has genital herpes, you start paying far too close attention to your genital area and taking notice of things you never used to worry about.
so what do you do now? Is it likely you contracted hsv2 from 2 mostly protected encounters? No it is not. odds are the tingling is just from good sex and nothing else. At this point all you can do is avoid sex and masturbation for a few days and let things calm down down yonder and if you still have symptoms, be seen for some simple urine testing to start trying to figure out what is going on. should symptoms get worse , you develop discharge or have obvious blisters/ulcerations appear on the skin, be seen for a full work up.
