Oh, and you may want to post this in the Herpes forum; there are several responders who can answer your questions with considerable depth and detail.
From what I have read and been told, herpes lesions appear more as clusters of blister like sores on the surface of the skin, not under it. They don't bleed, but are filled with clear fluid and apparently are painful. I understand how worrisome it can be when unexpected things show up on our bodies. Anxiety can be a terrible demon, I know this all too well. A doctor's expert opinion can alleviate stress immensely, it may be worth checking things out, so that you can set this aside in your mind. Take care... ;)
Okay thanks so much. Mine is on my labia major but this made me feel better. It's gotten much smaller since I tried to pop it. I've been having really bad anxiety from this also. So thanks this helped :)
Hi. When I read your post, I was compelled to respond as I have experienced the same bump on my labia minora situation as well. I too panicked and immediately went to the walk in where I was told that it was a cyst and to keep and eye on it. If it got bigger or changed drastically, the doctor said he would send me to an Ob-gyn. I also poked and prodded it the same as you and similarly it bled and had some white pus. (I was concerned about herpes as well but was assured that it wasn't). This bumps appearance coincided with my period too. It eventually, after about a week dissipated. However the following month the exact thing happened again. I went running to my gp for a herpes swab
(Which she only did to reassure my anxiety--it came back negative). My gp explained that the bump was the result of a blocked duct. It went away and hasn't returned since. I am not in the medical profession but thought I'd share my story.
