itching

Does anyone have any remedies that can help with the intense itching in my vagina due to HSV1?  I'm miserable and would appreciate any suggestions. I have no blisters, just red itchy areas. Thanks.

did you go to be seen and get checked to make sure this isn't bv going on or yeast?

dermoplast spray is helpful regardless of the reason for the itch. the blue can is for the genital area, not the red can. It's under $10 at most drug stores.

thanks so much. i will try the blue dermoplast. i''ve been tested, have hsv1.  i have all of the symptoms of hsv1 except for the blisters/ulcers.  i usually just have some red, swollen areas with lots of itching that lasts about a week. no discharge or foul odor. makes sense that i would have an outbreak since i've been sick.

not having ulcers means it's not likely it's your hsv1 going on.  just because you have hsv1 genitally, doesn't mean everything that goes on in the genital area is due to it.

go and be seen and get properly tested for yeast and bacterial infections thursday.
