non-itchy sore on butt..

ok so i have a painful sore on my buttocks that has been there for a while now. there has been no itchiness or tingle. it looks like a large pimple..rather nervous please help! it's in a spot that touches the other cheek, but there is no sore there. just the one...is it herpes? or an inflamed hair follicle?

if this has been there more than a week, certainly go and be seen and get it looked at. many things can be going on.

stop back and let us know how your appointment went :)

It doesn't sound like Herpes. Herpes doesn't itch. It could be a rash or bacterial infection. Don't scratch and go see your doctor.

no way to know. we don`t diagnose anyone through this forum, sorry!
be seen by a doctor, specially a dermatologist. odds are this is not herpes going on, pimples (folliculitis) happen very frequently in the buttock. you would expect blisters/vesicles in a herpetic sore, and a very itchy sore.
no reason to believe this is herpes, but be seen by a doctor.
