i was tested positive for hvs1 but my partner wasnt

what are the chances of my partner having it, if i never had signs are symptoms? whats the chances of me not actually having it?

if you are in the US, under HIPAA laws, you have ever right to see anything in your medical record you want to.  they can charge you to give you a copy of your test results but if you ask, they must supply.  

most adults have hsv1 orally whether they get obvious cold sores or not.  it's very common.  http://www.ashastd.org/herpes/herpes_learn_oralherpes.cfm  has terrific info on oral herpes for more reading.

it was a blood test. the funny thing is they refuse to show me paperwork or my results stating that  i am positive.

U have alredi been tested postive so u have the virus within u. Ur partner may have gotten it b4 hand as it is very common amoung most people to have hsv1, or oral herpes, or ur partner could have gotten it from u as it is much easily passed than other stds.
