You already have my advice. Sorry I have no way to address your insurance problem, except to suggest you call your local health department and ask about whether you qualify for coverage under the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). You could also try a community clinic, where they may offer free care -- and probably also have information about health insurance coverage.
I'm still nervous that I rubbed the virus in my eye? I have no health insurance so I can not go to a doctor
No clue. For the reasons above, probably not herpes. But if it continues or you remain concerned, see your doctor.
why do you think my one eye feels raw
No need to "bump". See the message below about delayed responses on weekends, especially a holiday weekend in the US. This is a volunteer forum; nobody is on call 24/7.
Spread of HSV to new sites is called autoinoculation. It occurs almost entirely during initial HSV infections. After herpes has been present for several weeks, the immune system prevents new infections at other sites with the same HSV type. (This is the same reason that couples in which both people have genital herpes do not "ping pong" the infection back and forth and need not take any precautions about transmission to each other, only to new partners.) Nobody can say your risk from this event was zero, and it's a good idea to be careful about hand washing and toilet hygiene during an outbreak. But the chance was extremely low and you really needn't worry.
