rash on my leg

about two months ago, i assumed i had genital herpes... there were a few pimple-looking things spread out around my genital area. ironically, or not, it happened two days after i had unprotected sex with my boyfriend. does it usually show up that soon? i assumed i gave it to him because we were broken up for a few months ago i had a mishap with a condom with one partner and i wouldn't be surprised that he had it. but maybe my boyfriend had it first.  all of the research i've done about it doesn't describe my symptoms though. i realize i should go to a doctor but i'm afraid of the answer i might get.

these are my symptoms... on my genitals they were just the few pimples that were spread out. they did not hurt/burn/itch at all. they went away in about two weeks, and they were not in clusters. i get canker sores in my mouth if i accidentally bite it or bump it, but i have gotten these my whole life. occasionally i will get a pimple or two on my thighs that go away pretty quickly... and show up after i shower for the most part. but i can recall getting these for some time as well, as i have somewhat sensitive skin (clogged pore maybe?). also occasionally i'll get them where my butt cheek meets my thigh, but i can recall getting these for some time, even before being sexually active.

my latest "outbreak" is below my knee on the inside part of my leg. i thought it was razor burn, but these have been here for a week and a half. they sort of look like ingrown hairs, but i could only pull out two of the hairs. these, again, are not in clusters. at night they itch like crazy and during the day they have a burning sensation. i shave over them and they do hurt when i do, but they feel like bad razor burn. i've looked up information on hsv1 and 2, herpes zoster, shingles...anything. if anyone has any advice besides going to a doctor, which i will do eventually, please help!

thanks!

Time to have this checked out,and don't shave over spots or rashes that is not wise!

The only thing I can tell you is to see your doctor.  Why haven't you already?
