so lost...

I recently had sex with my boyfriend, unfortunately the condom broke. I have noticed some itching and bumps located around my vagina. I also have noticed a sore like thing on one of the lips of my vagina. I am not sure if this is herpes, or from shaving and also wearing pads (as i am currently on my period). I switched to a different brand of pads today and the itching is not as bad, but I am extremely worried that this could be herpes. Any advice? I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow, but I just cannot get this off of my mind.

Actually if you have symptoms you should be seen. This may not be herpes, but many things cause genital symptoms that may require treatment, such as a fungal or bacterial infection, and yes, herpes.

Shaving and having your period definitely is a catalyst for bumps and irritation. Don't shave again until it's cleared up, but again be seen if concerned.

Have you and your BF ever been tested for herpes?

If you are concerned for herpes then you should send your boyfriend for a Igg blood test ASAP. If he doesn't have herpes than you will know he didn't give it to you and you can rule that out at least.
