Possible Symptom?
my girlfriend has both hsv 1&2, however she never has any outbreaks. We started having unprotected sex about 3 months ago, and she is no longer taking valtrex because it was bothering her skin. about 5 weeks ago I noticed a white pimple on the shaft of my penis closest to my stomach. It is still there and it is not painful or anything. I did shave with a razor down there the same week it showed up and was masturbating a lot as well. Could this be a herpes symptom?
This doesn't sound like herpes to me.
To the nick person, the OP has about a 96% chance of NOT being infected if his partner isn't on medication and they don't use condoms. In other words, he has a much higher likelihood of not being infected than of being infected. It is not "guaranteed" that he will become infected.
To the OP, your girlfriend can try acyclovir as suppressive medication, but she has to take it twice a day, whereas the Valtrex is only once a day. She might not have problems with acyclovir even if Valtrex bothered her. And it's also a lot cheaper than Valtrex.
Ask grace whether she can take it once she gets pregnant. I don't know the answer to that. Sorry!

I appreciate your input, we have been together over a year and are trying to conceive, so there's really no other way.
it doesnt sound like herpes but if you continue to have sex unptotected you may end up contracting it if you havent already remember not all people with herpes show symptoms its best for you to test 4 months after last sex.
